PromptNest is a native Mac application developed by JustOneDev and distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how PromptNest handles your information.
The short version: PromptNest runs entirely on your Mac. We do not collect, store, transmit, or have access to any of your data.
Data Collection
We do not collect any personal data. PromptNest operates completely offline on your Mac. Your prompts, projects, and all other data you create within the application are stored locally on your device as files that you control.
Data Storage
All data created in PromptNest is stored locally on your Mac in standard file formats (.prompt.md and .prompt.notes.md files), within folders you choose. The application is sandboxed, so it only accesses folders you explicitly grant permission to. You have full control over these files and can:
- Access them with any text editor
- Back them up using your preferred method
- Move them between devices
- Delete them at any time
- Use version control (like git) if desired
No Cloud Services
PromptNest does not use cloud storage, cloud sync, or any remote servers operated by us. The application functions entirely offline once installed. No internet connection is required to use PromptNest after installation. Application updates are delivered through the Mac App Store by Apple, not by us.
No Analytics or Tracking
We do not include any analytics, telemetry, or tracking mechanisms in PromptNest. We do not collect usage statistics, crash reports, or any other behavioral data.
No Account Required
PromptNest does not require you to create an account, sign in, or provide any personal information to use the application.
Third-Party Services
PromptNest does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. The application is self-contained and does not communicate with external servers.
Mac App Store
PromptNest is sold and distributed exclusively through the Mac App Store. When you purchase, download, or update PromptNest, Apple may collect information related to the transaction and delivery in accordance with the Apple Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your Apple ID, payment information, billing address, or other personal details held by Apple.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Since we don't collect any data, we have no way to notify you directly of changes.
